Amilcar Petroleum Operations (APO) is Tunisia’s largest upstream producer of gas. It operates as a non-operated Joint Venture (JV) between ETAP (Entreprise Tunisienne des Activites Petrolieres), the Tunisian national oil company and Shell Tunisia Upstream Limited.
APO is a company created under bylaws (‘les statuts’) dated April 23rd 2014 and commenced operations on May 14th 2014, for the Hasdrubal concession. In 2022 APO expanded also to operate the Miskar concession. Today APO operates two complex systems: offshore platforms, subsea pipelines, and onshore gas plants, together with an LPG terminal.
